# Create an order

> Create a one-off customer visit with services, pricing, duration, planning requirements, and invoicing behavior.

Create an order for one concrete visit. Use a subscription instead when the work should repeat automatically.

## Before you begin

Create the customer, property, and services first. If you want to prefill a visit from recurring work, open the subscription and select **Create order**.

<Steps>
  <Step title="Choose the customer and property">
    Open **Orders**, select **Create order**, and choose the service property. If the customer does not exist, create the customer and continue to the order.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Add order tasks">
    Select at least one service. Review the description, quantity, unit price, estimated duration, and customer-presence setting for every task.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Select the target week">
    Choose the week in which the visit should be planned. Until a schedule exists, this week determines where the order appears in Planning.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Add scheduling requirements">
    Add required weekdays, a time window or exact start, and a preferred team member only when they are firm customer requirements.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Review invoicing">
    Keep **Use customer setting** unless this order should use a different invoice outcome when completed.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Add optional context">
    Add one-visit notes and tags. Keep recurring instructions on the subscription and location-specific instructions on the property.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Review communication and save">
    Choose whether to send the available confirmation message, then create the order.
  </Step>
</Steps>

<Tip>
  Leave days, times, and member preferences unrestricted when possible. They are hard constraints, not suggestions, and can prevent the route planner from assigning the order.
</Tip>

<Check>
  A new order is ready for Planning when it is active, has a target week, contains at least one task with a usable duration, and its property has a valid planning location.
</Check>
