# Remove a team member safely

> Understand how access, unstarted visits, and visits in progress change when a team member is removed.

Removing a team member ends their company access and changes the assignment of their unfinished visits. Review the affected work before confirming because the removal cannot be undone.

* Unstarted visits return to unplanned work in their original planning week, including past weeks and visits whose customers were already notified.
* Visits in progress keep their planned time but lose the assigned team member.
* Completed visits and recorded history remain attributed to the former team member.
