Roles control product access inside one company. Assign the least access a person needs for their work and review roles when responsibilities change.

Built-in Account Admin

The Account Admin role has access to all company resources and actions. Use it for the small number of people responsible for company-wide setup, access, legal acceptance, billing, and integrations.

Custom roles

Create a custom role when a group of users needs the same resource and action permissions. Examples include planner, office operator, field worker, or finance administrator.
1

Open Roles

Go to Settings > Roles.
2

Create or edit a role

Give the role a clear responsibility-based name.
3

Select permissions

Enable only the resources and actions required for that responsibility. Read, create, update, and delete access may be controlled separately.
4

Assign the role

Open the relevant member and select the role.
5

Verify the result

Confirm that the member can reach required areas and cannot perform unrelated administrative actions.
Planning has its own permission. Access to Planning can show the members, availability, and visits required for planning without granting general access to every related resource elsewhere.
Removing or changing a member’s role changes future access. It does not erase actions or order activity already attributed to that member.
