Use a customer override for a genuine exception. Keep inherited settings when the customer should follow company-wide communication behavior.

What you can override

  • Before-delivery email and SMS
  • After-delivery email and SMS
  • Accounting-provider invoice email or SMS where supported
  • Sweeply invoice-ready email and SMS
  • Before-delivery lead days
  • Presence-required and non-presence timing profiles
1

Open customer notification settings

Open the customer and select the notification preferences.
2

Review inherited values

Sweeply shows which behavior comes from the company default.
3

Select Customize

Override only the specific values that should differ for this customer.
4

Save and review the impact

Expanding the effective lead window or enabling a rule can queue missing reminders for upcoming scheduled orders.

Return to company defaults

Use Use organization default for one timing profile or Use all organization defaults to remove the customer’s complete override set.
A customer cannot override a globally disabled email or SMS channel. Enable the channel at company level first if it should be available anywhere.
A shorter lead window can remove date-based planning protection from visits that have not been notified. A current customer notification remains a separate protection reason.
