Stripe has two separate roles in Sweeply. Paying for Sweeply does not automatically enable your customers to pay you.

Sweeply plan billing

Your Sweeply plan uses Stripe Checkout and the Stripe billing portal. Depending on your plan, charges can include the base plan, active subscriptions, and SMS usage. Billing access and customer-payment readiness are separate.

Customer payments through Stripe Connect

Stripe-hosted onboarding collects the company and payout information required for your business to accept card payments. Sweeply enables new payment links only after:
  • An accounting provider is connected and invoice-ready
  • The Sweeply plan requirement is satisfied
  • Stripe confirms card-payment capability is active
  • A Stripe clearing account is selected in accounting

Accounting connection

Stripe collects the money, but Sweeply still needs the connected accounting provider to create the invoice and register the payment. The Stripe account does not replace Dinero, e-conomic, or Billy.
Do not tell a customer that online payment is ready merely because Stripe onboarding was submitted. Wait until Sweeply shows Online payments are ready.
