Use manual route editing when an operator needs to choose a specific route order, member, date, or time. You can work in the calendar or place one unplanned visit from the weekly map. A saved manual route is protected from automatic planning until you release it.

Open route editing

In Planning, select the relevant date or week and choose Edit routes.

Arrange visits

Drag one or more unfinished visits within a route, between members or dates, or from the persistent unplanned tray into a route. You can change day and member filters while editing.

Review the preview

Sweeply recalculates timings and travel. Review added or saved driving time, direct visit moves, related route updates, missing coordinates, fallback travel estimates, working-hour impact, and eligibility warnings.

Review protected customer promises

Confirm any changed notified interval and choose whether to send an updated before-delivery notification when offered.

Enter a reason and apply

Save the route after the preview matches your intent. If the route changed during review, inspect the refreshed preview before applying it.

Place an unplanned visit from the weekly map

Open Map in Planning to see scheduled routes and mappable unplanned visits for the selected week, days, and team members.

Select the unplanned visit

Choose its marker and start placement. A visit needs usable property coordinates to appear on the map.

Choose a route

Select one of the visible team-member and date routes.

Compare valid positions

Sweeply lists each route position and shows the driving time it adds or saves. Overlapping and invalid-time positions cannot be selected.

Review and apply

Choose the best fit for the operation, review the complete route change and warnings, then apply it.
The driving-time comparison helps you choose; it does not automatically decide which valid position is operationally best.

Manual route ownership

Saving a manual edit marks the affected member-and-date route as manually owned. Automatic planning skips the whole route rather than silently changing part of your operator-authored sequence. Use Release manual route lock when you want automatic planning to control the route again. You cannot release it on a date that is still protected by the before-delivery calendar lock.

Started and completed visits

  • Completed visits are fixed history and cannot be moved or omitted.
  • An active unfinished visit can be moved manually, even after it was started. Applying that change clears its started state.
A manual eligibility override can assign a member who lacks a service or property capability. Sweeply shows what is missing and records your reason, but the operator remains responsible for the decision.
When road routing is unavailable, the map may keep a straight-line connection and the review may show estimated travel. Treat those values as guidance rather than verified driving time.
